Duration of the course − 5 years

The Biotechnological faculty was established in 1992. During more than 15 years the faculty has been preparing more than 400 engineers in the sphere of commercial production of drug substances and medications made on the basis of these substances. 8 graduates of the faculty have become candidates of science, 15 − are working at Ph.D. thesis. A lot of graduates head organization departments in enterprises and research-and-development centers.

Students study at 28 departments. Among teaching staff there are 36 professors, 28 docents, 2 honored scientific workers of the Russian Federation, the honored worker of the Higher School of the RF, more than 12 Corresponding Members of various International and Russian Academies. The curriculum includes 4 blocs of disciplines: humanitarian, social-economic, mathematical and scientific, professional and special disciplines.

Graduates of the faculty can work as mechanical engineers in chemical-pharmaceutical enterprises, bio-factories, enterprises of ferment and yeast production (breweries, confectioneries, dairy enterprises and other enterprises of food industry), chemical enterprises; as chemical engineers of chemical laboratories in profile enterprises, expert-criminality centers, sanitation services, standardization centers; as research assistants in scientific research institutes and as teachers in educational establishments of secondary special and higher education.

 

There are post-graduate courses of two specialties: Biotechnology; Systems analysis, Management and information processing in medical sphere.
